You can search Acta Sanctorum using a combination of the following search fields:

• Keyword
• Greek Keyword
• Title
• Saint
• Gender
• Feast Day
• Volume

To conduct a search, either type the required search terms (individual words or phrases) into the relevant search boxes or select them from a browse list. Search Options are selected from a drop-down list. In the Search page, you can combine search terms using Boolean and proximity searching and search for variations on search terms using or wildcard characters.

Note: Between search boxes, all terms are treated by default as if they were combined using the Boolean operator AND.

When you have finished making your selections, click Search. The Search Results with Context page will appear displaying the results of your search.

If your last search was from the Search All page, you can click the Refine Search button on the Toolbar to improve your search. Your original search terms will be preserved in the Search form for you to modify. You can start a fresh search by clicking on the New Search button on the Toolbar.

Use the buttons on the Toolbar to navigate to a different area of Acta Sanctorum Database. The following buttons are available from the Toolbar on the Search All page: Search All, Search Indices, BHL GoTo, Table of Contents, Marked List, Search History, More Information, Help (contextual), Lexicon, and Back.

Click Durable URL at the top of the page to obtain a Durable URL compliant link that will point to the page you are currently viewing. A pop-up box will appear with the Durable URL. Simply copy and paste the link into documents, email, or add it to your bookmarks
