The production of the Acta Sanctorum Database has been undertaken with the advice and assistance of the Société des Bollandistes and of an Editorial Board. It has been decided that the database should contain the whole Acta Sanctorum. Every part of the text is to be included with the exception of the recapitulatory indices in later volumes, as these simply repeat the information already contained in the full indices, and would be superfluous in an electronic version of Acta Sanctorum, where the indices are much easier to access.
